On December 30, 2022, famous blogger Aqababe sparked a frenzy when he confirmed that French striker Kylian Mbappe is in a relationship with Belgian model Rose Bertram.
Bertram, known for her long legs, embarked on her modeling career at the age of 13 after her mother, who is also a manager, signed her with a talent agency. Her career soared when she became a familiar face in promotional campaigns for H&M, L’Oréal, Hunkemöller, Primark, and Agent Provocateur. In 2015, Bertram made history as the first Belgian model to appear in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue. She also became the first pregnant cover model for Vogue in the Netherlands. Bertram has graced the pages of numerous leading magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, and GQ.
Bertram is not a stranger to the football world. She previously dated Gregory van der Wiel, a former PSG defender, with whom she has two children. However, in 2020, their relationship faced challenges due to Van der Wiel’s personal struggles, leading to their separation. After parting ways with Van der Wiel, Bertram crossed paths with Mbappe through his PSG teammate, Marco Verratti.
“During the 2022 World Cup, Mbappe and Bertram grew closer. She took the initiative to visit Mbappe in Qatar,” revealed the blogger, before sharing further details. “Interestingly, she is eager to make their relationship official and publicly date Mbappe, but he prefers to be cautious.”
Since Aqababe’s revelation, rumors surrounding Mbappe and Bertram’s relationship have been rife. Speculations range from Mbappe’s mother disapproving of Bertram and trying to prevent their relationship, to the recent claim that Bertram manipulated Mbappe by intentionally getting pregnant.

Reports of Mbappe impending fatherhood were first mentioned by Ouah magazine. Soon after, the French press quoted renowned psychic Claude Alexis, who accurately predicted Mbappe’s previous injury. This time, Alexis stated, “Mbappe will need to temper his passions and control his outbursts. Moreover, 2023 will be the year he focuses on his love story. I even see him becoming a father,” declared the esteemed expert.
Mbappe Remains Silent
Amidst the rumors surrounding his personal life, Mbappe has chosen to remain silent. The French player has never spoken about his love life publicly.
During an interview with TF1, Mbappe remarked, “I’m not here to complain. It’s true that sometimes I desire more privacy, and that’s normal. I believe I’m human, just like everyone else. I think I’m in the wrong place to complain. I have the life I’ve always dreamed of. Of course, there are pros and cons, and I hope to find joy both on and off the field.”
Bertram has also taken a similar approach. Since being linked to Mbappe, she has not made any official statements regarding their relationship. However, in a series of Instagram photos she shared recently, the content and her beautifully flat stomach in the images could be seen as evidence countering the rumors that Mbappe is soon to become a father.
