“Faiza Lamary has also mentioned that she is negotiating with PSG to lower this transfer fee, as it might exceed Real Madrid’s willingness to buy Mbappe,” states Marca.

PSG finds itself in a deadlock. An offer of 300 million euros from Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal has been rejected by Mbappe without any interest shown. Therefore, the Parisian club has shifted its focus towards selling Mbappe to Real Madrid to recoup costs. Should they fail to reach an agreement, Mbappe will stay at PSG for the 2023 – 2024 season, receiving the entirety of his salary, bonuses, and loyalty fees, amounting to 192 million euros, and leave as a free agent in the summer of 2024, Marca adds.

This situation has compelled PSG to potentially reduce the transfer fee they initially demanded from Real Madrid to 250 million euros to reach a consensus among all parties involved.

“Mbappe’s mother, Faiza Lamary, along with her lawyer Delphine Verheyden, is currently negotiating with super-agent Kia Joorabchian (an Iranian intermediary appointed by PSG) regarding the transfer fee negotiation for Mbappe to move to Real Madrid. Within the proposed 250 million euros (subject to reduction), a portion will be allocated to compensate Mbappe for relinquishing his 192 million euro earnings for the remaining season (2023 – 2024),” reveals Marca.

According to Marca: “Given the current developments, the transfer of Mbappe to Real Madrid can be activated at any time. In the event of a delay, PSG will be the most affected party. Mbappe is ready to sit out the entire season if not allowed to play by PSG. So far, the 24-year-old French forward remains steadfast in this stance. Additionally, there have been numerous confirmations that Mbappe reached an agreement with Real Madrid in May 2023 to join the Spanish royal club in June 2024 as a free agent, with a signing bonus of up to 130 million euros.”
