Since Aguero bid farewell to Etihad, he became one of three legendary players of Man City immortalized outside the stadium. Alongside Vincent Kompany and David Silva, Aguero witnessed The Citizens’ rise to Premier League glory in their early days.

Everyone still remembers his last-minute goal against QPR in the 2011-2012 Premier League, securing Manchester City’s first-ever title. That moment not only brought the trophy but also elevated Man City to the status of giants in the most competitive playground.

If Aguero hadn’t scored that goal, Manchester United would have been the champions, and the Blue side of Manchester might not have had the strong foundation they have now.
From August 2011 until bidding farewell to Man City, Aguero scored 260 goals, with 184 of them in the Premier League, ranking fifth in the list of all-time top scorers. He is also the foreign player with the most goals in the EPL since its inception. Aguero still holds the record for the most hat-tricks (12).

These impressive numbers alone are not enough to describe Aguero’s importance in the history of Man City and the Premier League. He was the player who often scored decisive goals or broke through tough defenses. It’s no coincidence that only a few players have been honored with a statue outside Etihad, which happened to Aguero.

When Manchester City started their success in 2012, until Pep Guardiola took charge, they only won the title once more in 2014. Pep’s tactical mastery turned the Premier League into a more predictable competition, but before that, fierce competition was required for the Etihad-based team to claim the top spot. During this period, Chelsea, Manchester United, and the phenomenon of Leicester City all secured the top position. Aguero and his teammates had to fight hard to smile with triumph after the 38th round.

Currently, Manchester City’s strong investments and the presence of a renowned strategist have made them dominant in the Premier League. Haaland’s arrival is like adding a diamond tip to an already sharp spear of the team. Even without the Norwegian forward, Manchester City won the Premier League title four times in the last five seasons.

Haaland is indeed exceptional, too outstanding in history,… He might have a transfer fee surpassing Neymar’s in 2017, but his influence in the squad is not yet comparable to Aguero’s. With players like Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne,… and many other superstars, Man City will probably win the Premier League this season, but Haaland may not live up to the expectations just yet. To reach or surpass the impact of his predecessor, the 23-year-old striker to lead the team to their first-ever Champions League title and It’s surprising that right after joining Manchester City, Erling Haaland helped the team achieve a historic treble of Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League, outperforming Kun Aguero’s records.
However, Erling Haaland still needs to prove himself further if he wants to match Kun Aguero’s legacy at Etihad.

During his 10 years in the Premier League, Aguero won the title five times. Haaland is taking his first steps towards his first trophy in the Manchester City jersey. Every time he steps into Etihad, Haaland will pass by the statue of Aguero standing tall in front of the stadium’s entrance. It serves as both motivation and pressure for him to strive even harder.
