Saudi Arabian football giants, Al-Hilal, are making efforts to convince Bernardo Silva to leave Manchester City and join the Saudi Pro League with astonishing perks.
Al-Hilal Extends a Mega Offer to Bernardo Silva
A few days ago, reputable journalist David Ornstein revealed that midfielder Bernardo Silva received an enticing invitation to join the Saudi Pro League. While the specific Saudi Arabian club making the offer to Man City is yet undisclosed, negotiations have taken place between the club representatives and super agent Jorge Mendes, who represents Bernardo Silva.
However, the pursuing club’s identity has now been revealed as Al-Hilal, one of the four clubs – Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, and Al-Nassr – owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF).
According to Mail Sport, Al-Hilal is persuading Bernardo Silva to join their ranks and is prepared to offer an astounding £75 million per year in wages to the Portuguese star. This figure is nearly 10 times what Bernardo Silva currently earns at Man City (£7.8 million per year).
Bernardo Silva is considering his next steps after playing a crucial role in Manchester City’s magnificent “treble” triumph. The 28-year-old player has attracted interest from PSG and is yet to make a decision about his future, with Man City keen to resolve the matter promptly.
Man City values Bernardo Silva at around £70 million as the reigning Champions League winners attract attention from PSG. If Silva departs, it will be another blow for Pep Guardiola, who recently lost club captain Ilkay Gundogan after the German midfielder agreed to terms for a free transfer to Barcelona earlier this week.
Nevertheless, Man City appears to have contingency plans in place. Mateo Kovacic is expected to undergo a medical at Man City tomorrow, as the £25 million transfer deal with Chelsea is finalized. Additionally, West Ham captain Declan Rice is another pursued target by the Premier League champions.
