As expected, the Paris team had difficulty facing Nice’s tight defense. Even in the 21st minute, goalkeeper Donnarumma had to go into the net to pick up the ball after striker Teremas Moffi’s accurate shot.

However, in the 29th minute, Mbappe scored a goal to equalize 1-1 for the home team. From a good pass from defender Hakimi, the French striker ran in and finished without giving goalkeeper Bulka a chance to block. The two teams entered halftime without any more goals scored.

Entering the second half, Nice continued to show solidity in defense and sharpness in attack. They scored two consecutive goals in the 53rd and 68th minutes, respectively from Laborde and Moffi, to continue to advance.

It wasn’t until the 87th minute that Mbappe completed the double and shortened the gap to 2-3 for PSG. His assist was substitute Kolo Muani.

However, Mbappe’s efforts were not enough and PSG was forced to accept a 2-3 defeat at home. This is their first loss in Ligue 1 2023-24.

The Paris team dropped to 3rd on the Ligue 1 rankings and was disappointed before the opening match of the 2023/24 Champions League group stage with Dortmund on September 20.
