Jude Bellingham, an 11-year-old Birmingham boy who had just begun secondary school the previous term, was taking advantage of the last few days of his Christmas break in January 2015. Like most young people his age, he enjoyed eating Caribbean food and watching Batman, and he also desired to spend time with his pals.
Another one of his interests was football: “All day, all the time, any second I could get to play football, I was playing; break time, lunchtime at school, and then I’d leave school, come home, and then play outdoors for a little while with my friends on the little area of grass… So, in essence, football was all we did, he recalls.
At the January 2015 Gucci menswear presentation, Alessandro Michele learned of his appointment as the fashion house’s Creative Director. Gucci’s new CEO, Michele, a Roman who has worked there for 13 years and is familiar with its history, assumed her position with a clear goal in mind. In order to wonderfully express his now-famous Romantic eclecticism concept, which surely pushed people to seek for originality and character in clothing, he designed the Love Parade collection for this spring/summer.
Unquestionably, this strategy has drawn a young audience that is eager to learn how to respect innovation and its unique characteristics. Jude Bellingham belongs to the same generation. one who values expressing of oneself highly. The football player says, “I try to be sincere all the time.” Despite the fact that I may have already offended some people with my interviews this season, I always feel like I’m speaking for myself; it’s never my “brand” or how I think I should communicate in order to be politically correct. Therefore, whether it is on the field, in my behavior off the field, or both, it is always me. I simply make an effort to be authentic since I am aware that I am a decent person.
