Completing the Amrabat Deal – MU, Will Coach Ten Hag Finalize 6 ‘Blockbuster’ Signings Before the Transfer Window Closes?

The Sofyan Amrabat transfer to Manchester United is reportedly finalized and awaiting a medical examination. However, Coach Ten Hag’s transfer plans for MU don’t seem to be stopping here, as Old Trafford could potentially witness the addition of 6 more ‘blockbuster’ signings before the summer transfer window comes to a close.

Italian media asserts that Manchester United has officially submitted a €21 million offer for Sofyan Amrabat, receiving a swift nod from Fiorentina. Consequently, the Moroccan midfielder is set to board a flight to England within the upcoming week for a medical examination before reuniting with his former mentor, Erik Ten Hag.

Nevertheless, Coach Ten Hag’s MU transfer strategy is rumored to be far from complete. As revealed by English press, Old Trafford might experience the arrival of 6 more major signings during the final week of the summer 2023 transfer window.

  1. Harry Maguire’s Move to West Ham
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Coach David Moyes is keen on reigniting the Harry Maguire – West Ham deal. To bridge the wage gap, “The Hammers” are reportedly willing to increase their offer slightly from the previous £30 million bid. The decision to leave or stay now rests on the English defender. Coach Ten Hag (as mentioned earlier) aims to sell Maguire as quickly as possible to secure additional funds for further acquisitions.

  2. Marc Cucurella’s Chelsea Exit, Manchester United Arrival
Reliable sources in England confirm that MU and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Marc Cucurella. Consequently, the Spanish defender could make his move to Old Trafford within the next 48 hours, barring any unexpected developments. The loan deal between Cucurella and Man UTD extends until the end of this season, without a purchase option. The Red Devils will cover his entire £175,000 per week salary for the loan stint.

  3. Official Announcement of Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir
Crystal Palace’s official website has confirmed the successful acquisition of Dean Henderson for €20 million. This includes an immediate payment of €15 million, with the remainder based on add-ons. Prior to this, Coach Ten Hag had considered Fenerbahce’s goalkeeper Altay Bayindir as a contingency plan for Andre Onana. The price for the Turkish-born goalkeeper is around €4 million. Consequently, Manchester United will have an additional €10 million+ to bolster their summer 2023 transfer budget.

  4. Farewell to Donny Van De Beek or Scott McTominay
Both of these aforementioned players are confirmed to no longer be in Coach Ten Hag’s plans. However, the injury to newcomer Mason Mount might lead to adjustments in MU’s transfer strategy. Thus, the Dutch manager reportedly intends to retain McTominay as a backup midfield option. As for Van De Beek, he has struggled to make an impact during his 3-year tenure with Man UTD. Presently, Real Sociedad seems to be the most suitable destination for the former Ajax star.

  5. Negotiations with Bayern for Gravenberch’s Acquisition
German media reveals that Bayern Munich is genuinely interested in signing Scott McTominay. Conversely, Coach Ten Hag is reportedly looking to reunite with his former protégé, Gravenberch. A loan deal could potentially materialize if the two clubs find common ground. Gravenberch himself is said to be keen on leaving Bayern for more playing time.

  6. Officially Sealing the Sofyan Amrabat – MU Deal
Sofyan Amrabat has turned down offers from both Liverpool and Atletico Madrid to await a chance to join Manchester United. Meanwhile, Coach Ten Hag is compelled to trim the squad before bringing in more players to avoid financial fair play violations. Nonetheless, with the successful sale of Dean Henderson and the imminent deal with West Ham for Harry Maguire, MU is poised to have sufficient funds to finalize this ink-heavy deal.
