By the end of the 2023-2024 season, Arsenal is determined to obstruct the “giant” Real Madrid in their quest for a top striker who has the ability to help them conquer all the titles in England and the continent.

The plan presented by Director of Football Edu has been quickly evaluated by the football community in England on several aspects, including Arsenal’s ability to meet the massive salary demands of the star who currently earns £893,000 per week at PSG, to convince him to join the London-based club.

After acquiring the new signing Kai Havertz for £65 million and preparing to unveil the £105 million contract of Declan Rice, both in the midfield position, Arsenal’s current lineup is nearly perfect. However, manager Mikel Arteta is only temporarily satisfied with the team’s attacking prowess, or more accurately, the “Gunners” are lacking a true goal poacher, a “penalty box assassin” like Mbappe.

Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Bukayo Saka are in good form, but their style of play is more focused on individual skills, disrupting the opponent’s defense. Eddie Nketiah has good finishing ability, but his form is inconsistent, and his long-term position is not guaranteed, similar to Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ case.

Kylian Mbappe has consistently refused to extend his contract with PSG and will become a free agent next summer. While clubs won’t have to pay a transfer fee for this superstar, they will still have to offer a substantial signing bonus and a hefty salary to persuade the French striker.

Arsenal is no longer concerned about financial constraints like in previous seasons. However, even with the ability to spend money without constraints, the London-based club will not find it easy to secure Mbappe’s signature. The exceptional striker scored 41 goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions for PSG last season.

According to Spanish media, Real Madrid is willing to pay Mbappe a €140 million signing bonus if he joins Bernabeu as a free agent in 2024. Although this intention may anger PSG due to the publicly announced “stealing” behavior, it also reflects Mbappe’s desire to fulfill his dream of joining Real Madrid – a club with a strong chance of winning the Champions League, a dream that has accompanied him since childhood.

By joining the number one club in the world like “Los Blancos,” Mbappe will have all the glory of a footballer’s lifetime, including the prestigious Ballon d’Or award after winning the World Cup with the French national team. For a player like Mbappe, who constantly strives for the highest level, Arsenal is only a “second-tier force” that may struggle to meet his demands, unless the team can win the Premier League with an impressive performance or, even better, achieve a “treble” like Manchester City.
