PSG Doesn’t Need Mbappe to Win the Champions League

In recent days, the future of Kylian Mbappe has been a hot topic of discussion. According to the French media, it is highly likely that the French forward will depart from PSG after rejecting a contract extension with the Parc de Princes club. Things have escalated even further as Mbappe openly criticized the club and expressed his desire to leave. This has deeply offended the PSG president, who is now actively seeking to push the French star out of the team as soon as possible.

In his latest statement, former PSG Sporting Director Leonardo advised PSG to let go of the 1998-born forward. He stated, “For the benefit of PSG, I believe it is time for Mbappe to leave. PSG existed before Mbappe arrived, and life will continue after his departure. Mbappe has been with PSG for six years, yet they still haven’t won the Champions League.”

“This means that PSG doesn’t need Mbappe to win the Champions League. His performances over the past two years prove that he is not a true leader. He is a talented player, a clinical finisher, but he lacks the ability to lead the entire team. It is difficult for PSG to build their style of play around Mbappe,” he added.

To ensure stability for PSG,
In a recent statement, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi affirmed that they will not try to retain Mbappe. “If Mbappe doesn’t extend his contract, we will be forced to sell him. Of course, PSG doesn’t want to lose the world’s best player,” said Al-Khelaifi.

Currently, Real Madrid stands as the leading candidate for the French star’s signature. However, the Spanish club is reportedly unwilling to spend a substantial amount of money on a player with only one year left on his contract. Apart from Real, Manchester United and Liverpool are also among the clubs vying to recruit the world champion.

In conclusion, the future of Kylian Mbappe at PSG remains uncertain, with strong indications that his time at the club may be coming to an end. PSG, as suggested by the former Sporting Director, believes they can succeed in the Champions League without the services of Mbappe. It remains to be seen which club will ultimately secure the signing of this world-class talent.
